CFD-DEM Simulation of Particle Fluidization Behavior and Glycerol Gasification in a Supercritical Water Fluidized Bed

In this study, a mathematical model of hydrogen production from glycerol gasification in supercritical water was established based on the CFD-DEM method. The fluidization process fluidized bed and effects height feed structure particle distribution residence time feedstock were analyzed. Additionally, temperature field bed, reaction rate each influence wall gas yields also studied. simulation results show that bubble channel is easy to form along at one side inlet. When initial high, double symmetric inlet used, prolonged. pyrolysis mainly occurs middle lower part reactor, shift methanation are highest near outlet, high conducive gasification.
